Thursdays Ecstatic Dance is a no-talking experience, and we are happy to have the Nectar Nook as a space for light conversation and connection.
Noise travels into the main room much more than you would expect. Please be continually aware of the environment so that conversation in the area does not disrupt the experience of the dance. Be mindful of your own voice volume as well as those at your table, asking people to speak more softly when necessary.
When the music begins to come into a close, please follow that and wrap up pouring to support the movement into silence.

The intention of this space is as an offering to the community. Please, no vending. Do not solicit sales, request tips, or charge a fee.
You are welcome to:
Put a tip jar out
Self-promote any of your offerings tactfully ~ let people know what you offer & how to connect with no pressure (a flier, business cards, etc)
Sales are permitted for relevant items upon inquiry, items may be placed out for display
Items may include a bulk supply of what you’re pouring (bricks of cacao, bags of tea), tinctures you make, etc. Please confirm with the coordinator ahead of time.

If you would like to record video, this is permitted if no dancers are in the shot.
Note: Monday cacao dances through the summer are more relaxed on the talking guidelines and the photo/video.
To support a meditative, embodied experience and a safe space for all, we adhere to the following guidelines:
We dance without words: We embrace a non-verbal space to help us drop into a meditative movement state. Exclamations and vocal expressions are always welcome!
Free-form movement: There is no instruction. Come as you are and let your body lead; every movement is perfect. All ability levels encouraged. There are mats/chairs to stretch, lie down on, or sit down for mediation.
Consent: Always be mindful and respectful of personal space. ensuring a clear "yes" before beginning to dance with someone.
Barefoot: We dance with shoes off to connect more fully with the ground. If you have a physical condition that you need shoes, please wear designated dance shoes.
Tech-free: To stay fully present in our experience and respect the privacy of all, we ask that phones are put away – no photos or videos.
Sober Space: To allow the dance be our high, we maintain a substance-free environment.
Thank you for maintaining the container with us for all backgrounds, identities, expressions, ages, and ability levels to embrace the power of movement within this community.
