What to expect:
We dance the 5 Rhythms style wave. This creates a journey which starts in a gentle flow, ramps up in intensity, and comes back down into stillness. A sign of a good wave is dancers lying on the floor at the end. We aren’t picky if you have two peaks to your wave, but please do make sure to spend at least 10 minutes bringing it back down into stillness.
Our little mountain town does not have reliable internet or cell service for streaming. Unless you have your own satellite connection, your music must be downloaded.
We do adhere to the ecstaticdance.org guidelines for our dancers, so we ask that you follow the same, including video/phone/photo use. For marketing purposes, we may briefly capture our DJs and other collaborators, but we never include dancers. If you would like to include filming or photography, please make arrangements with us in advance.
Instrumental accompaniments during and at the end of the set are welcome; please let us know who to expect.
The time slot for the DJ is approximately 2 hours, from 7:10-9:10pm. Any sound healing at the end is included in this set time. The closing circle is at 9:10pm.
